Camry commercials keep trying to pedal this thing as "Fun to drive" so heres what i propose

A Damn jalopnik review! Jalopnik has not yet ever reviewed a camry and that needs to change. I dont care if its official or if its by one of you opponaughts, but it needs to be done!

The problem is ive never driven a new camry, technically ive never driven a camry period (just a solara) so this needs to happen!

Heres the current offender, and lets not forget grounded to the ground *shutters*

well first, I'd love to be even be able to afford a 2014 Camry lol. Second, my DD 1992 e36 sedan cost me $500. I've probably spent $3000 in it in the last 2 years (parts only, I do my own sheeet). It is coming up to the 300K mark soon. Though I have the beefier Bavauto lower control arms and rear bushings, new shock, tires, and brakes all around, it drives like an old pos. My brother has a 2013 Camry V6 fully loaded. He is an architect and can afford something more luxurious for his wife and kids (primary riders) but he chose that Camry (will be paid off in 2 years) lucky duck. Trust me, I love my dumb little jalopy's "i'm here for you buddy" attitude, but I will easily say fuck you to my e36 for a brand new car, even a Camry. So it doesn't handle like a Pagani Zonda, but right now fuck it, it is not what is important at a certain point in life dudes. I'd love one with a maintenance plan and extended warranty (since it will be hooned) :]

PS: Plus, i'll feel good knowing my Camry purchase funded a new Supra :] Years later when shit finally gets better, then A 993 turbo will be purchased to offset the dependable old dog :]

I agree with you.

Also, you pedal a bike. You peddle something you're trying to sell.

Shutters go on either side of your window. Shudders are what my body goes through whenever someone talks about the Camry being fun to drive.

I have a lot of experience driving an 09 camry. I HATE driving it. The transmission is shit, if you're past 40mph you wonder where the power went. For the money, I'm not all that impressed with the interior and what you get in terms of gadgets compared to the competition.

The car is very touchy, especially when you first throw it in drive when you start it up, the thing just launches... Not a good launch though.

I drove a newer camry over new years. My friend owns it but was past out somewhere and our other friend needed to be at the not where we were. I had the keys.

And honestly the only things I can remember about the car are that the gauges were too bright for 7 am, the shifter felt flaccid, and it seemed bigger inside than it actually was. Oh, and the brakes were really grabby. Like obnoxiously so.
